I love swimming and my family are all keen swimmers, with my eldest daughter swimming with Newbury District Swimming Club.

I have taught swimming for 15 years, I began my career as a PE teacher working in a secondary school for over 10 years, I developed the school’s swimming program and very quickly realised my love of teaching swimming. I then began to work in local pools delivering both group and private lessons.

I have taught swimming for 32 years. My first teaching position was in Cape Town SA. I taught Life Saving to the municipal police and to various schools around Cape Town. On my return I worked for Cambridge City council teaching approximately 1000 school children a week! In addition to the council schools, I taught children that attended The Leys school and The Perse.

Since moving to Berkshire 19 years ago I have taught in most pools in the area and was program and promotions manager at the Kennet and Hungerford Leisure centres when they first started.

I love teaching swimming and have never lost the passion and enthusiasm that I had all those years ago!
